Cemix Concrete Hardener is a liquid hardener and dust proofer for use on Portland cement concrete floors.
Typical Application & Uses:
Concrete floor surfaces treated with Cemix Concrete Hardener are dustless, resist abrasive wear, and prevent the penetration of oils and greases. Cemix Concrete Hardener may be used on concrete floors in a variety of locations, including factory production areas, workshops, garages, warehouses and car parks. In industrial locations, subject to metal-wheeled traffic, the surface treatment will over the years, be worn away. In these circumstances the surface may be retreated with Cemix Concrete Hardener
- Hardens concrete floor surfaces
- Improves abrasion resistance
- Resists the penetration of oil & grease
- Can be used on new or old concrete

It is important to ensure the substrate surface is clean and free from dust and loose material. Old paint should be removed, as should oil, grease, wax, curing compounds and surface laitance etc.
Generally apply undiluted. However, on dense, steel trowelled surfaces, Cemix® Concrete Hardener may be diluted with an equal amount of water for the first coat. Ensure that the Cemix® Concrete Hardener and water is thoroughly mixed together before application.
Cemix® Concrete Hardener floor surface should be dry, clean, free from any oil, grease, dirt and chemicals. Cemix® Concrete Hardener may be applied with a soft broom, rubber spreader or squeegee, working the liquid into the floor surface. Keep the floor surface wet with liquid until the saturation point is reached. When the floor surface will not accept any further liquid, the surplus should be removed. The second, and if necessary the third coat of liquid, are applied the same way as the first coat. An interval of 24 hours should be allowed between coats. Brushes and utensils should be cleaned with water, immediately after use.
Thoroughly agitate contents before use
Appearance – White liquid
Application Temp – 5 – 30oC
Yield / Coverage – 5 -10m2/L per coat, depending upon the porosity of the floor surface. (Normally 2-3 coats required total).
Packaging – 5L, 20L & 210L.
The data shown above reflects typical results based on laboratory testing under controlled conditions. Reasonable variations may occur on site.
Equipment should be cleaned with solvent immediately after use. Any spillages should be absorbed with sand or sawdust etc. and disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Storage / Shelf Life:
Twelve (12) months when stored in unopened, original containers. Storage area should not be exposed to extreme temperature. Do not expose to direct sunlight in storage.
Care must be taken to avoid the liquid coming into contact with skin or eyes. Quick liberal dousing with clean cold water is necessary, should this occur.
