Cementing The Deal - Exclusive Supplier to the Carters Chain
NZHWJ May 2009 : In a move that has seen the company become the market leader in its sector, CEMIX has signed an exclusivity deal with leading nationwide hardware chain CARTERS. As of 1st April 2009, all CARTERS stores around New Zealand have been solely stocking the CEMIX range of bagged concrete and mortars.
This has meant that despite the difficult times, CEMIX is poised to post a growth of over 20 percent in the current financial year 2009-10. "Carters has an uncompromising commitment to help its customers build with confidence, and with 54 branches throughout New Zealand, it is a leader in supplying the trade," says Cemix General Manager Bhav Dhillon. "CEMIX also has a strong focus on supplying the trade, and hence they are a logical combination."
Dhillon has been encouraged by the positive way the relationship is working so far. "the feedback we are receiving from key Carters personnel - Jarrod Langstone, John Newall and Murray Durbin - has been very encouraging for the hands-on team at Cemix, who have vowed to set higher goals in product quality and customer service."
As part of the commitment to improving customer service, Cemix has upgraded its IT networks and systems, says Dhillon. " The company has recently rolled out a sophisticated customer relationship management software (CRM) which will aid its team to further improve its customer service levels."
Along with its beleif in customer service, Cemix also works hard to provide quality products for the New Zealand market. "Cemix has a strong focus on research and development, along with quality control," says Dhillon.
As part of our focus on quality control, in 2005 the company invested in a fully automated state-of-the-art dry bagged product manufacturing plant in Onehunga using cutting edge technology from Europe and Japan.
